Erasmus Exchange Student

I am a B.Sc. student at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen in Germany where I study Biomimetics. Also known as bioinspired design, biomimetics explores how we can learn from living organisms to solve challenges in engineering. As part of my degree, I have the chance to spend a semester abroad which I chose to do in the Bristol Mechanical Ecology Lab. I really enjoy doing practical work and look forward to getting to know new experimental methods and experiencing day-to-day work in a scientific lab. With my background in biomimetics, I am particularly keen to get an insight in the things we can learn from pitcher plants for the development of future technologies.
